Sacred Earth: As Above, So Below
Faculty Open Day 2020
Saturday 28th March, 11am–5pm
Fyvie Hall, University of Westminster, 309 Regent Street, London, W1B 2HW
Guest Speaker: Lindsay Radermacher
Faculty Open Day is an annual event. Tutors, students, graduates and friends get together to celebrate the achievement of the new Diploma and Certificate Holders. This year we are delighted to have as our guest speaker astrologer Lindsay Radermacher. Here are the details of her afternoon lecture:
LIFE WITHOUT ASTROLOGY
It may seem strange – on a day when newly-qualified Faculty students are embarking on their life as astrologers – to be thinking about life without astrology. But I want to imagine how it might be to live without the familiar, habitual framework of the astrological perspective. Once it has become our lens through which we view the world, is it even possible to think that we could have gone in a different direction, and lived without that lens?
Lindsay Radermacher has been part of the UK astrological community since the seventies, as a teacher and lecturer – also as a member and chair of many astrological organisations, including both the Urania and Sophia Trusts. She was President of the FAS (1986-95) and has an MA from Somerville College, Oxford, and a research degree on the role of dialogue in astrological divination from the University of Kent. Her current focus is client and small group work – and the sheer enjoyment of a life steeped in astrology. Her practice is in London.
We are also pleased to announce that in the morning two of our Faculty students – award winners in this past year - Alejo Lopez and Gill Beighton - will be giving presentations on the topic, Sacred Earth: As Above, So Below.
The morning programme will also include a fun interactive session we are calling “Moon Balloons” – more on this later! And in the afternoon we are delighted to have Melanie Reinhart, Darby Costello, Stevi Gaydon and Bernard Eccles participating in a Q&A session.
Faculty Open Day is open to all so it is an opportunity for potential students to come along and get a flavour of the Faculty and meet some of the people involved. Every second year, ALL of our Faculty Tutors come to London and attend Faculty Open Day. 2020 is one of those years – a perfect opportunity for you to come and meet the tutors, chat, and get to know them in person!
